Giving Alms

Last weekend, I went to Supanburi, about two hours west of Bangkok and caught some traditional country life.  Every morning monks go out with their alms bowl to receive food from the devotees.  After the alms giving, the oldest monk of the group will bless the devotees.

  1. A great cultural photo – I have a photo of Bangkok monks in their orange robes hanging on my office wall. I took the photo during my visit to Thailand back in January 1990.

  2. Thanks. You should come back to Thailand sometime soon. Bangkok has changed since the 1990s.

  3. Interesting to see a religious activity from another religion.
