Wat Suthat

 

Wat Suthat is the largest and one of the most important of the royal temples in Bangkok.   Construction was started by Rama I shortly after his coronation in 1807  continued to completion in 1847 by Rama III.   In 2005, the temple was submitted to UNESCO as a world heritage site.
